We are actively seeking a talented
Solution Architect to join our Operations & Digital team. This position offers a unique chance to work closely with digital product leaders, enterprise architects, software development teams and UX designers on exciting initiatives and projects. Your work will focus on designing cost-efficient, secure, and reliable digital products that place data and business at the center.
In this role, you will design solutions aligned with business objectives, including third-party integrations, and define IKEA Älmhult AB’s domains to guide digital transformation.
You will collaborate with Solution Architects and stakeholders to align IT and business strategies, delivering secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. Staying updated on market trends and sharing technical knowledge will drive continuous improvement.
Additionally, you will align business processes with technology solutions, establish IKEA Älmhult AB’s architecture framework per IKEA best practices, and map shifts for a decoupled architecture to enable flexibility and innovation.

Key Previous Experiences And Proven Skills
- 10+ years of experience with software design and development
- Working experience from a technical domain (e.g. development or management of infrastructure, software, solutions/services; innovation)
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex digital products in a heterogeneous environment (infrastructure, developed or commercial off-the-shelf applications, bought services, internal and external environments)
- Experience with leading software development as well as hands on experience
- Understand the concepts of DevOps and domain driven development
- Strong communicator – influencing leaders
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving change in big organisations
- Experience of working with 3rd party IT partners / service providers
- University education in the areas Engineering or similar.
