IT Director – Shape the Future of IT at POC
At POC, we are a safety and performance pioneer on a global mission: protect lives and reduce the consequences of accidents for athletes and anyone inspired to be one. Born and based in Stockholm, Sweden, we challenge the status quo with research, science, and cutting-edge technology to create safer, better-performing products.
Now, we are looking for an IT Director to lead and transform our IT function, driving innovation, efficiency, and value across the business. If you’re ready to shape IT strategy, work hands-on with technology, and turn ideas into action in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, this is your chance to make a real impact.
The Role
We are looking for a strategic IT Director to lead and optimize our technology landscape, ensuring it drives business growth and value. This role is about maximizing the impact of IT investments, improving system efficiency, and strengthening IT security and reliability while ensuring seamless integrations, system performance, and cost-effective IT operations to support business goals.
Key priorities include enhancing IT architecture to support future scalability, streamlining integrations, and future-proofing systems for an eventual ERP replacement. You will also optimize existing set-up, outsourced services and internal expertise, ensuring IT resources are aligned with business needs while driving greater value.
With expertise in ERP, eCommerce platforms, B2B tools, and cloud services (Microsoft 365, Intune), you will lead critical system architecture decisions and oversee key projects like software migrations, system upgrades, and workflow automation. You’ll also play a pivotal role in improving communication and project management, ensuring IT initiatives are well-coordinated, minimize disruption, and secure strong user adoption.
Beyond strategy, you will manage a small, dynamic IT team, coordinate external vendors, and oversee smooth daily IT operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment, balancing hands-on problem-solving in a growing company with long-term IT vision to enable business success.
To be successful in this role, you are likely to have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant IT management experience.
- Have experience with leading a team (minimum 2-5 people), and enjoy doing so
- Strong proficiency in IT systems and infrastructure, with expertise in cloud-based environments (Microsoft 365, Intune), IT security, network administration, and system integrations across ERP, eCommerce, and B2B platforms.
- A strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions and roadmaps.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A customer-oriented and collaborative approach, with the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and experience managing operations in a mid-size growth company.
Why you should join POC
- You will be able to shape and evolve the department, working hands-on with technology while being deeply embedded in the business.
- The impact of your work will be tangible, moving fast from idea to execution to results.
- We are a collaborative, passionate team, where IT needs to be closely connected to the entire business. You will work alongside skilled colleagues who are just as eager to share knowledge as they are to push boundaries.
- While we take our work seriously, we believe in balance. Whether it's lunch rides, outdoor training sessions, or product testing, we embrace an active lifestyle. Plus, with a generous health allowance, insurance, and discounts on our award-winning products, you will experience POC’s mission firsthand - protecting lives and enabling performance.
- If you are looking for a place where your expertise makes a real impact, where IT is both strategic and hands-on, and where you are never far from decision to action, this is the role for you.
