We are now looking for a Developer for the ADP Generic Service Wide Column Database (WCDB) at PDU CS&P (in SA BOS). WCDB uses a NoSQL database (Cassandra) and based on container deployment. WCDB is a critical component for several commercial offerings within BCSS
What you will do:
- Play a key role in our cloud transformation journey as a Microservice Developer for ADP WCDB generic servie with expertise in Java, Python and GoLang
- Join a team dedicated to adopting the latest technologies, enhancing open-source tools, and implementing cloud-native architecture principles.
- Design, develop, test and deploy scalable microservices that supports Ericsson products globally.
- Take ownership of quality improvements, optimize test coverage, and ensure high standards in all deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with the stakeholders to refine requirements and align on objectives.
- Engage in requirement studies, meticulous planning, hands-on implementation, verification, and ongoing support, ensuring each development phase is executed to the highest standards.
- Work on projects that drive the future of global communication targeting new technologies, ie Gen AI.
- Work within an agile framework, where Continuous Integration and Automation are core practices, to accelerate innovation and streamline development workflows.
The skills you bring:
- At least 5 years of experience in software and product development
- Experience with NoSQL database in cloud native environments, preferably Cassandra
- Experience within Java, Python and Golang
- Software development environment and its tools, e.g.Git, Gerrit, Maven, Jenkins
- Solid experience in Cloud Native technologies (Kubernetes)
- Good knowledge of and experience in CI/CD and software testing
- Solid understanding of R&D, Lean and Agile principles
- Furthermore, we believe you are curious, innovative, high own self drive and collaborative.
- English proficiency, both written and spoken
