Electrical Commissioning Engineer
A leading international multi-disciplinary engineering contractor is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer for a major project in Sweden.
Role Overview
You’ll be responsible for commissioning electrical systems—particularly in mission-critical environments like data centres—to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission electrical systems: UPS, LV/HV switchgear, PDUs, generators, transformers.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, tests, and failure simulations.
- Integrate electrical with mechanical/fire systems; optimise energy monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with Tier standards and industry certifications.
- Manage commissioning schedules and support project close-out.
- Follow SHEQ procedures and international safety standards.
- Maintain accurate test equipment calibration and records.
- Lead client interactions and represent the company professionally.
- Prepare handover documentation and troubleshoot issues.
- Guide junior engineers and resolve design queries collaboratively.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- 5+ years in commissioning, ideally within data centres or critical environments.
- Strong expertise in LV/HV systems, UPS, and backup power.
- Familiarity with Tier standards and commissioning protocols.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills.
- Proactive, independent, and team-oriented with mentoring experience a plus.
