Now CERAP UK are looking for a Quality Control Engineer to join our ever-expanding team with our client in Lund. If you are a and are looking for a new and exciting opportunity to work on one the largest science and technology infrastructure projects, then this role is perfect for you!
Main Activities:
The candidate will Support the project organisation to ensure that equipment and components that are to be incorporated into the ESS facility fulfil relevant directives and standards.
- Witness tests, controls and inspections carried out on the related equipment.
- Perform reviews throughout the design, manufacturing, and installation workflow.
- Interpret requirements from the technical / control regulations for equipment in the plant.
- Execute specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
- Check conformity with the Project Quality Plan, obtain relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls, and inspections.
- Participate in FAT & SAT testing.
- Perform inspection of installed equipment with specific focus on legal compliance and safety.
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years’ experience in leading/handling equipment compliance assessments and CE-marking of complex equipment or similar comparable tasks.
Proven knowledge in relevant EU directives and standards such as, but not limited to:
- Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC)
- Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU)
- Electro Magnetic Compatibility (2014/30/EU)
Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Strong organizational and technical document management capabilities.
Beneficial Experience:
- Experience from motion control and ATEX 2014/34/EU issues is desirable and considered beneficial.
- Coordination of activities or small projects.
- Working with technical documentation
- Supporting QC/QA activities

We are looking for a person that can work within a small team conducting equipment approval activities on scientific equipment as part of a construction project under time pressure.
Support is required to process the documentation, work through issues with stakeholders and chase progress to keep activities on track. It requires a balance of rigour, and an open minded & solution-oriented mindset.
