- Develop and optimize signal processing algorithms for real-time target detection and tracking.
- Collaborate with embedded software, autopilot, ground software, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Work together with our supply-chain team to have your designs manufactured, tested, and shipped.
- Conduct rigorous performance testing and validation in simulated, laboratory, and real-world environments.
- Evaluate and select system sensors; including radar, lidar, and EO/IR systems, event cameras, for optimal performance.
- Overall system design to ensure good EMI performance.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in optoelectronics, RF, RADAR, LiDAR, or EO/IR sensors.
- Expertise in projectile detection and tracking.
- Proven experience in the design and building of sophisticated analogue filters and amplifiers, especially for high frequency applications.
- Experience in designing and manufacturing PCBs using Altium, Eagle, KiCAD or similar.
- Knowledge and experience in designing for environmental constraints.

- Familiarity with machine learning techniques for sensor data analysis.
- Knowledge of flight tests and R/C aircrafts, including hands-on experience.
- Antenna design experience.
- A PhD is considered a plus.
Why Nordic Air Defence
In a rapidly changing world, it is important to safeguard the democratic principles of human development and stability in society. The nature of conflicts is changing, and attackers are increasingly relying on drone technology. Conventional anti-drone weapons such as jammers, lasers and weapon carriers are expensive or ineffective against modern threats.
Our solution is a drone for both military and civilian applications that replaces complex hardware with software and achieves unparalleled speeds. Nordic Air Defence puts effective portable defence technology in the hands of those who need it, while reducing costs.
The NAD Kreuger 100 drone interceptor platform is new, patent pending and developed in Sweden.
Developing technology that can be used in military contexts requires conscious and constant consideration of ethics. We carefully consider our choice of customers and implement rigorous safeguards to ensure our technology is used as intended. At Nordic Air Defence, ethics comes first in all engineering discussions we make.
The company is privately financed through a combination of business angels and venture capital.
